Hooter-man

As promised I would like to introduce you to the other half of the dynamic duo. This is the elder half and as the old man of the posse he is the boss wven though he weighs 30+ pounds less than Wendy. This guy we named Hooter, this was due to the fact that when we adopted him he was wearing a Hooters Resturaunt collar. So he started the ball rolling and because we are so intrenched in American culture we have named our two dogs thus far after Resturaunts.

Stir Crazy

Ok, winter is officially on my nerves. It has caused me to be a bitchy pissed off person. My apologizes to the people mentioned in the earlier post regarding the collapse, it was a bad day and reading about the end of the world (civilization) did not help.

Onto happier things, a bacteria has been found that will breakdown styrofoam into a usable plastic. So in the words of my wife we go from one non-biodegradable substance to another. I then explained that plastics are more easily recycled but in essence she is correct.

I have been engrossed with Jason over on Anthropik, he is documenting his attempt at the Paleo/Foundation diet. A good read and the comments make it that much more informative. I have a vested interest in this topic as recently I have changed my diet, not so much for weight purposes but more for a general health study. At first the initial cost is a little more but because I dragged my wife in with me we only operating on one diet. We are spending probably 10% more per week but with the portion control that we are on it lasts the entire week and don't have to make subsequent trips.

Why is it that when less people watch a certain event it is cried as a bad thing. For example the Oscars or the Olympics, why can't we look at this in a positive light. Less people were sucked in by consumerism and the competetive nature that is driving us to the brink. Maybe more people are sick of watching pompus hollywood types act all thankful for an evening before they return to the fantasy world that the rest of us live in. I watched curling in the olympics, but that is because I had the privelage of playing this fine sport last winter and wanted to see how strategies were used by the best of the best.

I hope that less people in America watched because it was an uberwarm winter, but that is a pipe dream they were just on Fox watching Americna Idol instead.

Peace
